Position Summary

The Human Resources manager is responsible for all aspects of human capital management for all associates working within their assigned region to include selection, work culture, employee benefits/recognition, performance management, policy implementation/enforcement and compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision to Human Resources Generalist, Recruiter and Administrative staff.
Recruit, screen and select candidates for employment who possess core values, demonstrate the capability to deliver legendary service and who meet client/post requirements and needed skills/traits.
Facilitate the orientation and on-boarding process for new associates.
Ensure 100% compliance to all union collective bargaining agreements in the area of benefits and discipline.
Investigate and manage all Workers’ Compensation claims and interface with employee, carrier and corporate human resources/risk management.
Administer all corporate and regional Human Resources policies, procedures and programs per company standards as outlined in the Human Resources Manual.
Administer company and region-specific employee benefit programs (medical, dental, life, supplemental offerings) including overseeing the enrollment/open enrollment process.
Work closely with management and associates to motivate the workforce and build a positive work environment at each account.
Review all policies, procedures, handbooks and practices and recommend revisions/improvements as needed, especially on state-specific or local issues.
Consult with account managers and other representatives on all performance management issues including disciplinary actions to ensure compliance with legal and company standards and that actions/policies are enforced in a fair and equitable manner; participate in all performance counseling sessions including terminations.
Conduct conflict resolution investigations and investigate disciplinary matters, complaints and other human resources-related issues, as needed.
Coordinate and/or conduct exit interviews.
Mentor/coach local managers / supervisors to improve human resources skills and knowledge.
Conduct training programs for officers and managers in the area of human resources compliance to include sexual
