Chief Chris OKAFOR is a 1982 graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and 1986 post graduate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the two bodies are based in the U.K. He also holds membership of Advertising Practitioners council of Nigeria (APCON).

He was educated at the London School of Accountancy as well as the City of London Polytechnic where he read banking. Before he returned to Nigeria in 1988, he worked for four years with C. Michael & Co. a London based firm of Accountants. He also worked with Champion Newspapers Limited for eight years before drying out to pursue other interests.

Chief OKAFOR is the principal consultant at C J MARKETING ACADEMY and previously the Marketing Consultant for Silver Shoes Manufacturing Co. Ltd. between 1997 and 2001. He had between 1999 and 2003 lectured on part-time basis on management accounting and marketing to under graduate and diploma students of Olabisi Onabanjo University and Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, under the banner of Logos Institute, Lagos outreach centre. Chief Okafor was between 2003 and 2004 a council member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, (NIMN). In 2004, during the presidency of Engr. Yemisi Shyllon , he bagged the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria presidential award for his contribution to the marketing profession in Nigeria.
He was also at different times a member of the examination committee as well as the chairman of the education committee of NIMN. He is currently a member of the education committee of NIMN.
